Badass character introductions ➝ Legion 5/?
Shut up, I know I’m not the only one who thinks they’d make an adorable couple.

This game seriously phunks with my heart…
I friend-ship it. Or maybe regular-ship it. Dunno.
YOU CAN’T TELL ME WHAT TO DO

was listening to the track for the suicide mission in mass effect 2 and maaaaan… through it all, the me2 squad will always be my favourite. awesome designs, awesome races, awesome personalities, awesome everything. i would run around a collector base like a mad man with them any day.

This was a bit of a pain to draw and I still probably got bits and pieces wrong, but ugly christmas sweater!Legion is done! Actually he was done last night but tumblr was borked. Those things on the plate are supposed to be mince pies, btw.
CHRISTMAS WITH LEGION
‘Shepard-Commander, we have improved and updated the traditional carol to be known as Legion the Blue-Eyed Geth-Dear. As you can see, our shiny eye will guide your ship tonight. Your white beard and other seasonal attire await you in the Shuttle Bay.’
*
‘Though no one has successfully charted the course of Claus-Santa, we believe we have determined the algorithm necessary to pinpoint his exact location within space time on the eve of Christmas. We shall find him. Rest assured.’

‘Legion, look, nobody else on board can actually…power their own light show. So it looks to me like you’ve won the competition hands down.’
*
‘Shepard-Commander… Does this unit have a holiday spirit?’

You guys asked a few days ago…
…. Answering the only way I know how… Supposed to be a quick sketch but ended up getting sort of finished. Gonna… go… somewhere else.. now… …. …. !
observable data
There is an assignment category in human culture which offers no parallel within a data stream. This ideology of the ‘role model’ does not require rolling of any sort, nor does it explicitly involve models, though Shepard-Commander has many of those, what is known as a collection.
Not a collective.
But Legion understands: owning models or being capable of rolling are not fundamentals of the definition.
A ‘father figure’ or ‘mother figure.’ An admirable admiral.
That was a pun.
But wires do not joke and holes do not feel. Inside their chest ,the synapses are not connected. Yet, now and then, with a hand on their shoulder, they spark with light that does not see. For all that it illuminates, it is blind.
*
A popular yet colloquial definition of love suggests that it, too, is frequently lacking in visual perception.
It can also be ‘magnetic,’ though Legion has detected no specified fields.
Perhaps it is all of them.
‘You look…well, I was going to say ‘Like a flashlight and some plumbing, same as always,’ but that’s not it.’ Shepard-Commander is tired. His voice betrays this, a subtle shift in magnetism, followed by a sigh in which he closes his eyes. They wonder what he sees—a singular phenomenon—on the backs of his eyelids. And if being blind is, somehow, a catalyst for the applicable resources of ‘imagination.’ ‘You look thoughtful,’ Shepard-Commander says finally. ‘What’s up, Legion?’
Legion’s visual perception is currently unchallenged. ‘A ceiling made of the standard metal alloys. Insulation. Lighting strips. A rod that needs to be replaced.’
Shepard-Commander chuckles—as though it is a joke.
*
Preliminary searches indicate that love is a battlefield, a four letter word, and a verb. The definition is, it would seem, legion.
Another pun. Sparks fly when Shepard-Commander approaches.
‘Are we young, Shepard-Commander?’ Legion asks.
‘I don’t think so,’ Shepard-Commander replies. ‘…Not anymore.’
‘Heartache to heartache we stand,’ Legion says.
Shepard-Commander, capable of seeing what is not there, does not look straight through the hole in their chest. They have been searching their hearts for so long. Shepard-Commander’s hand closes around their shoulder. No one can tell them they are wrong.

↳ Legion - Mass Effect“Human history is a litany of blood shed over differing ideals of rulership and afterlife. Geth have no such history. We shared consensus on such things. How could we have become so different? Why can we no longer understand each other? What did we do wrong?”
